COLCHESTER UNITED LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB
Welcome
Welcome to the home of Colchester United Ladies Football Club photography.

The club was founded in 1992 as the Colchester Royals and became affiliated to Colchester United FC in 1998.

There are two senior Ladies teams who play their football in the National Premier League (South).

There are also four Centre of Excellence teams from U10s to U16s level and the Female Football Academy for 16-19 year olds based at the Thurstable School & Sports College.

In 2009, the Centre of Excellence is now going into its eleventh year and the Female Football Academy is into its fifth year.

The talented youngsters from the U16s and the academy can also be selected to play for the senior teams and a new Girls Development Centre was launched in 2005 to nurture young girls from 4 years old upwards and feed into the Centre of Excellence squads from U10s level.

In the first year back at South East Combination Level, the club achieved their highest league position to date and finished a very creditable fourth place. This was coupled with the a great FA Cup run where the team reached the Fourth Round.

In 2006/2007 the club reached new heights and finally became champions of the South East Combination League after just two seasons, and this was coupled with achieving the double after the Ladies also successfully won the South East Combination League Cup Final.

The reserve team were also crowned champions of the reserve league.

The Ladies went one better in the Women's F.A. Cup reaching the 5th round after they successfully negotiated a tough win against Aston Villa in the Fourth Round.

This victory bought the club the accolade of "Team of the Round" before they finally succumbed to the national league giants Birmingham City in the 5th round.

    SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Colchester United Ladies Football Club (CULFC) play in the Tesco Women’s Premier League South division. This is the second tier of football in England and puts the U’s in the top 25 teams in the country. This is an opportunity for you to aid the development of female football at a local level. CULFC is self-funded and relies on local sponsorships, player subscriptions and volunteers to operate. We have an established youth section with an FA Centre of Excellence and Female Academy providing elite female football for players from the age of 8. This system has produced over 8 youth internationals, 3 of whom are currently playing for the Ladies side. We are looking for sponsorship in the region of £3,000 for the forthcoming season.
    This money would:
    • Provide a new playing kit
    • Provide matchday tracksuits and warm up kit for all players
    • Provide travel expenses for the season (with some of the away journeys reaching as far as Newquay and Bath this is a big expense the club is struggling to fund)
    • Provide matchday and training balls for the season (at the moment we have to rely on old hand-me-downs from the men’s team)

    Benefits you would get-
    • Being seen and linked with a professional organisation that is helping the local community.
    • Your logo on all CULFC communications - headed paper and emails
    • Your logo on the CUCST, Colchester United (men’s team) and CULFC web site
    • Your logo on the new playing kit
    • Invitation to all CULFC events such as end of season awards
    • Free entry to any CULFC home games
    • Your logo on the header of the Ladies page of the Colchester United men’s programme for every home game (over 4,000 sold each home game)
    • Your logo on the front of the CULFC programme for every home game
    • CULFC player could be available for some promotional work in your business.
